Pro's: -Great quality Mexican food -Quick & friendly service -spicy salsa's -Huge burritos I actually ran into this taco truck randomly when I was leaving Eastridge mall & decided to give it a try. Their prices for food are very fair and reasonable compared to other places. I ordered the Carne Asada Supreme Burrito and that thing was HUGE. You can tell all of the ingredients were fresh and the taste did not disappoint one bit. I'm hoping I can try out the other items on the menu and see how the tacos and quesadillas are. In terms of location, it's not in the most visible area since it's in the empty parking lot across from Olive Garden. So you really need to be driving by close to see that there's a food truck nestled over there. I'm sure if this was in a high traffic space, more people would be coming here.

Service was excellent. I got tacos de Al pastor and they were delicious. The salsas are also good, red one if you want some real heat. Sat under a nice shaded tent even though it was very hot and sunny it made it pleasant. Right next to JC Penny and the bus stop. Was hard to find at first for us. When you turn into Eastridge go right. Delicious!

If you want high quality street tacos at a reasonable price, come to Tacos El Pelon! You might have trouble finding it, so I'll help you out. When we found them at Eastridge Mall, they were at the far end of the parking lot near the Wells Fargo (opposite of entrance E by the AMC). Great prices and good quality tacos with delicious flavor! A great taco truck find in South San Jose! FOOD: They only serve a few things but they use their limited menu to make sure each item is wonderful. We got a selection of tacos - chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada and liked them all. The avocado salsa was our favorite, but they were all good. The rice was different from your traditional orange colored Mexican rice, but I liked it. It reminded me of Southern dirty rice. I'll have to try the beans next time (and there will be a next time). SERVICE: Super friendly and helpful! Service was also quick while still made to order. It's great to find a local business you can support who really appreciates it. COST: SUPER reasonable! A taco plate with three tacos and rice and beans for only $10? Get outta here!

Drove by it a few times and figured I'd try it the evening I took Tess back home. She stayed at my place for a week to use my car and to take care of Gavin while I was away on a business trip. Even after a week of not cooking, I was in no mood to cook that weekend. They are parked near the Wells Fargo just right outside Eastridge Mall. I was glad that there was no line. There were a group of teenagers there, but I guess they were not ready to order yet. + they accept cards + quick service + filling, generous portions + super tender and delicious lengua + love their verde salsa + love their avocado cream salsa Simple menu, affordable prices, generous portions, and yummy.

This taco truck is located in the back of the Eastridge Mall parking lot. My best friend and I were searching for taco spots nearby as we drove past this truck when we were leaving the mall parking lot. I decided to try the carne asada tacos while my friend tried the carne asada quesadilla. Street tacos are my favorite! They looked and smelled so good, I had realized I've taken a bite of my taco before taking a picture. My tacos were so tasty; loved the flavor of the tacos with the green and red sauce on top of it. My friend and I sat in the car eating and didn't say a word to each other until we finished our food.

I've seen this truck once before and it immediately peaked my interest. The location of the truck is in Eastridge's parking lot entrance specifically by the food court. If you look straight across where the parking lot tends to be emptier - you've found it. We ordered a taco plate with 3 al pastors and 1 lengua along with a carne asada burrito. My boyfriend loved the al pastor tacos - it was very well seasoned and tender. The burrito I had was also delicious and had such a good amount of meat. They hooked us up with so many sauce containers. Red sauce was super spicy and definitely burned. Green sauce was refreshing and paired well with the burrito! Loved our experience and I'll for sure be back to try the other meats and menu items.

Decided to try them since I have free Grubhub delivery & it's way too hot to cook! Delivery was fast. I got Asada, Pollo, chorizo & lengua. They were all so good! Lots of meat for a street taco. $3 each & lengua was $3.50. The trimmings of cilantro, onions, radishes, carrots & jalapeños were good too. My dad laughed at the name & one of the red salsas made him exclaim "ay hijo!" But he finished it lol!

It's located in the eastridge parking lot by the food court near the very back of the parking lot towards the main roads. This place makes such good food it deserves so much business and popularity. I ordered 2 supreme burritos ($12 each) from this place with no line and they came out within 10 minutes. The man who took my order was so friendly and nice too. He never seemed annoyed when I made a lot of adjustments. A long time ago I was traumatized by really sour sour cream taking up half of my burrito and making it fall apart. But the sour cream was modest and a compliment to the burrito- just the perfect amount of flavor and moistness. I usually think asada is too dry but it was well cooked, flavorful, and tender! My personal favorite meat is cabeza and though others might not like it, to me my burrito was super soft to eat and munch on. It was like soft mush but not gelatin like which is my ideal texture. This is my go to burrito place!

Quick tip: Get your $20 for $15 in the info section on Yelp. You'll be able to feed 2 for about $20! My wife loved it. I'm with her on most points. This is your neighborhood taco truck. It's everything you'll expect. Authentic simple Mexican. Today I just got the tacos but I'll come back for their super burrito. Our Ratings Asada 4.5/5 Pastor 5/5 (love the strips of meat) Cabeza 3/5 Lengua 4/5 They have 3 sauces. We got one of each which worked out best. Their red sauce is very spicy. Didn't need to much of it for my pastor. Their green sauces were all similar. I couldn't differentiate. If I can add constructive criticism, this place could add an orange sauce with a sweet/spicy mix and just do 1 type of green sauce. For reference my favorite taco truck was Tacos Los Reyes when they had the salsa bar and tacos were $2. They got popular, upped the prices and pandemic took away the salsa bar. I haven't been back there since so this is one of the few taco trucks I've been. I like it.

Ok, so I go to 24 Eastridge to workout almost every day and one Friday, my boyfriend and I wanted Mexican! (We're always craving tacos/burritos LOL) there's a few places we know but wanted to try something new, and sooo glad we found this food truck! We were a bit skeptical at first because we haven't heard of this place and I'm sure we've seen the truck around the parking lot but, like I said, we are so glad we tried it! We ordered (x3) al pastor tacos and a super al pastor burritos! If I remember correctly, each taco was $3 and a super burrito was about $12? nonetheless, the tacos and burritos were so good! What we absolutely love about this place is their SAUCES!! I'm telling you, they are SPICY. My bf and I love our spices and we can handle the heat. But something about their green/red/orange sauce that was just spicy! Don't get me wrong, they were a delicious addition to our food but damn, all places need their sauces to be this spicy!! We believe the orange sauce is their mango habanero or so and it was our favorite sauce!! Definitely recommend this food truck for a quick fix after your workout or even after shopping!
